Welcome to Davie Dermatology & The Med Spa!

We are a comprehensive dermatology practice offering medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care.  Our physicians are board certified dermatologists who specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.   Our physician assistants are mid-level practitioners who are extensively trained in the field and who work closely with our physicians.  At Davie Dermatology & The Med Spa, we place a high priority on relationships with our patients, continuing education, and staying up-to-date on the field’s latest advances.

Medical Services:

At Davie Dermatology & The Med Spa we offer comprehensive skin care services.  A large part of our practice is medical dermatology which involves diagnosis and treatment of:

  • Inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, skin or nail fungal infections, rashes related to medications, and rashes related to systemic diseases. Dermatology is a broad field and we often perform skin scrapings or skin biopsies to aid in the diagnosis of conditions.
  • Neoplastic skin lesions (growths) which include benign and malignant, or cancerous, lesions. Benign lesions include growths such as warts, skin tags, seborrheic keratoses (what we often refer to as “growths related to aging” or “barnacles”), and angiomas. Malignant lesions include growths such as basal cell skin cancer, squamous cell skin cancer, and malignant melanoma.

Med Spa Services:

At Davie Dermatology & The Med Spa, we are committed to helping you achieve healthy and more youthful looking skin. Many of our treatments address problems with the upper layers of the skin such as brown spots, sallow/dry looking skin, and fine lines/wrinkles. Other treatments address the deeper layers of the skin and underlying muscles and involve the use of fillers and botulinum toxin. Our providers match the treatment to the problem and often use a combination of modalities to provide the best outcome. In our effort to achieve facial harmony, we want your procedures to “whisper, not scream”. Some of these treatments are performed in the lower level of our building but most are performed in the upper level of our building, in The Med Spa.

Dear Patients,
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from Davie Dermatology March 30,2023. I have been blessed to serve you over the years! I opened the practice in 1991 and am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of your healthcare. Most of all, I am appreciative of the friendships formed and trust shared.
It has been an incredible journey and rewarding experience to see Davie Dermatology grow over the years and to be a respected leader in the care of patients. It is a testament to our amazing physicians and physician assistants whose knowledge, skills, morals and ethics are unwavering, as well as the dedicated staff members over the years. The support of my husband, Mark, as well as my mentors and colleagues has been invaluable.
We are also blessed to be announcing the addition this summer of my daughter-in-law, Aubrey Hess, M.D, as well as Frank Lacy, M.D. as our Mohs surgeon and high-risk cancer specialist. I have full confidence in the providers at Davie Dermatology providing continuous care for you. However, your records can be transferred to another practice upon request.
While you may still see me around the office and town, I am planning on traveling with my husband, enjoying our grandchildren, volunteering, and practicing my golf game in this new chapter of my life.
It has been an honor and pleasure to be a part of your care! Thank you and rest assured, you will be in great hands with the amazing team at Davie Dermatology!
Sincerely,

Suzanne Hess, M.D.
