Kelly Crawford, PA-C is a native of Hominy Valley, NC, a small mountain community just outside of Asheville and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mars Hill College in 2001. She then joined the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) Program, where she graduated in 2003. During her years in PA school, she fell in love with the field of dermatology.
Once she received her PA degree, she knew that field was her calling. She got her foot in the door in Asheville, where she practiced under the direction of a Mohs surgeon. There she gained experience and expertise in general and surgical dermatology by first assisting with Mohs surgery layer harvest and assisting with and performing reconstruction post-Mohs. During her time there, she also regularly performed laser surgery, and became proficient in skin rejuvenation by utilizing ALA Photodynamic Therapy, TCA, and Glycolic Acid chemical peels.
After she married, she relocated to the Winston Salem area, where she continued to practice in the field of dermatology. It was here that she had the opportunity to become proficient in cosmetic treatments such as Botox and filler substances, as well as utilize TCA chemical peeling for photorejuvenation and actinic keratosis treatment. She continued to perform laser surgery and see general dermatology patients as well.
In August 2009, she joined Davie Dermatology, where she continues her effort to provide compassionate and effective care to patients. Her interests are surgical and cosmetic dermatology where she continues to perform skin cancer surgical treatment and cosmetic treatments such as Botox, filler, laser and chemical peels. She is known for always being genuinely upbeat and smiling around the office!
