elly Crawford, PA-C is a native of Candler, NC, a small town just outside of Asheville. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from Mars Hill College in 2001. She then was accepted to the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, where she graduated in 2003. During her years in PA school,she fell in love with the field of dermatology, and after receiving her PA degree, she started to work in that field. Her first employment opportunity was in Asheville, NC where she practiced under the direction of a Mohs surgeon. It was here she gained experience and expertise in general and surgical dermatology by first assisting with Mohs surgery layer harvest and assisting with and performing reconstruction post-Mohs. She also regularly performed laser surgery, and became proficient in skin rejuvenation by utilizing ALA Photodynamic Therapy, TCA, and Glycolic Acid chemical peels. After she married, she relocated to the Winston Salem area, where she continued to practice in the field of dermatology. It was here that she had the opportunity to become proficient in cosmetic treatments such as Botox and filler substances, as well as utilize TCA chemical peeling for photorejuvenation and actinic keratosis treatment. She continued to perform laser surgery and see general dermatology patients as well.

In August 2009, she joined Davie Dermatology, where she continues her effort to provide compassionate and effective care to patients. Her interests are surgical and cosmetic dermatology where she continues to perform skin cancer surgical treatment and cosmetic treatments such as Botox, filler, laser and chemical peels. She is well respected by her peers, patients, and staff.

Mrs. Crawford is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and member of the North Carolina Medical Board. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Kelly lives with her husband in Winston-Salem, and when she is not working, she enjoys traveling and fishing with her husband, Todd, as well as cooking and gardening. She is a member of Reynolda Presbyterian Church where she teaches Sunday school. She also travels back to the Asheville area often to spend time with her family.
